The Markilux 1600 is a strong semi-cassette folding arm awning with a steel twin-link chain operating arm mechanism, however this can be upgraded to a gas-piston operation like the Markilux 1500.

The strong folding arms of the 1600 provide a taut cover using the latest awning innovations. This ensures the awning fabric cover does not droop or sag, resulting in an immaculate finish.

The Markilux 1600 has won awards for being a stylishly distinguished awning with the if Product Design Award. The practical aluminium moving arm segment of the awning closes together with the attractive top gutter of the semi-cassette to top off a visually and physically impressive sun shading product.

It’s fine awning technology enables the top gutter to be equipped with a brush component which cleans the awning cover during the retraction process. This means the awning is exceptionally low maintenance and easy to clean; perfect for those with hectic lifestyles, a shortage of time or simply for those who prefer one less job to do around the house.

A special mechanism is included to ensure the top gutter is adjusted to the awning incline so that no gaps or overlays are encountered. A wall mounting profile is available on request to further provide a visually beautiful awning and cassette.

The Markilux 1600 is available in widths up to 6.6 m or with a maximum projection of 3.5 m. Systems that are required to be exceptionally wide and therefore a ‘coupled’ are provided with a rolltex bearing system to prevent the awning from drooping.

Markilux 1600 Stretch

The Markilux 1600 stretch is the perfect solution for narrow patios, balconies, and niche settings.

It has a sturdy, round steel torque bar, to prevent twist and deflection and the 85 mm roller tube ensures the highest rigidity and the best possible cover winding characteristics even at the largest widths. The maximum dimensions for the stretch are 410 cm width x 400cm projection.

The Markilux 1600/1600 stretch awning is available with electric operation with a remote control as an optional extra, however it comes manual as standard with a hand crank to operate the awning.

Cassettes and Fabrics

The Markilux 1600 is available in 4 frame colours; traffic white, light ivory, metallic aluminium and grey, brown, represented in the picture below.  The Markilux 1600 is also available in the lounge style frame, so your awning can be as individual as your home.
