The Markilux 740 Marquisolette is more than a classic exterior blind. This intelligent external shading system combines an electric vertical blind with a compact drop arm awning in one unit, so it can be perfectly adapted to your needs for the optimum amount of sunlight and shade throughout the day.
As a result, the Markilux 740 offers an elegant way to block unwanted light, heat and glare from entering your home or commercial building, while still allowing pleasant natural daylight and outward views where you want them.
The Markilux 740 exterior blinds provide privacy by shielding viewable areas of windows and doorways from outside view. In the upper section, the solar and visual protection runs vertically, working like a traditional external vertical blind for maximum shading and privacy.
In the lower section, the fabric projects outwards on stable drop arms, so the amount of incoming light can be determined in a flexible manner depending on the position of the arms. This creates a small awning area that reduces glare while preserving your view out.
The height of the area to be shaded vertically can be set to fulfil your individual requirements in terms of maximum shade and a perfect view outside. The Markilux 740 Marquisolette drop-down external vertical blind has maximum dimensions of 300 x 300cm (awning width x projection). OPERATION
The Markilux 740 Marquisolette vertical blinds are equipped with an electric motor as standard, providing effortless operation at the touch of a button. Electric control is especially useful on upper-floor windows and larger installations where manual operation would be difficult.
You can optionally order a radio motor with radio remote control for your new vertical blind, giving you the convenience of controlling the blind and drop arms from anywhere in the room. Multiple blinds can be grouped on one handset for simple operation of several windows.
The Markilux 740 Marquisolette can also be integrated into a smart home solution. By adding the Somfy TaHoma Switch to your new vertical blind, you can control your solar protection by smartphone or tablet, create automatic shading scenes and link the blind to sun, wind or temperature sensors for optimum energy efficiency.
This flexible, motorised operation means you can easily change from full vertical blind mode to drop arm awning mode during the day, maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures and reducing cooling costs.
