Commercial Entrance Glass Verandas Cover Installation for Wollaston BMW
Wollaston BMW in Northampton sought to enhance the entrance area with a modern glass veranda cover as part of their brand new showroom upgrade. Impressed with the first project for BMW Oxfordshire, they reached out to Samson again for a solution. The goal was to develop a modern, contemporary style that would protect customers from the weather while providing a high-end look that is associated with the BMW brand.
PROCESS
BMW required a bespoke glass veranda cover to match the specifications of the showroom entrance. The design has to give a clear, uninterrupted view while offering protection against the weather. Additionally, the frame and structure have been tailored to the current design ideas associated with the BMW brand.
Samson Outdoor Living proposed a Morvelle Freestanding Mono Pitch Veranda that met all the client’s requirements, delivering both visual appeal and functional benefits.
Key Features of the Installation:
• Size: The structure had to match the showroom entrance’s exact measurements: 1930 mm in projection and 4470 mm in width.
• Glass Specification: The veranda was equipped with 8.8mm laminated clear safety glass, which offered a robust, transparent protection against the weather. The front and right-hand side fixed glass panels provided a smooth, clean look that was ideal for a showroom setting where style and visibility are crucial.
• Framework Colour: In order to meet the client’s needs, the framework has been powder-coated in anthracite grey (RAL 7016) in order to meet BMW’s brand style.
* Lead Flashing: In addition to this, 70mm x 70mm x 3mm lead flashing has been used to ensure a secure seal against the unpredictable UK weather.
In general, the entrance design provides a premium and practical solution while adhering to BMW’s high end, contemporary style.
Results:
The overall installation has provided BMW with a sleek, modern look that has enhanced the overall customer experience. The freestanding mono-pitch design allowed for clear views of the showroom while also providing protection from the elements.
