Does a Glass or Polycarbonate Veranda require foundations?
Any glass veranda or aluminium pergola requires a solid base to anchor the support posts/legs to the ground and prevent any movement during high winds. The majority of weight for a wall mounted leaning glass veranda will be supported on the front posts and these need to be totally solid in their fixing points with no movement at all. The supporting posts are either concreted into the ground directly or secured to a concrete base at each point where a support post is required. They should never be screwed into tiles, screeds or light weight substrates. Weight and proper support is essential.

Do you sell supply only?
Yes, we do sell many products as supply only if required by customers and some products lend themselves to supply only, such as a parasol of any size with a free standing base, requiring almost no set up at all.
Many products we also sell are made to measure and specified to suit the clients needs and site conditions and require professional installation for compliance and warranty purposes by the manufacturer. Products with glass, products with high tension pulley systems or complex tracking arrangements which require trained personnel to install will never be supplied only. -
Do I need planning permission for outdoor weather protection systems?
No, most awnings, canopies, verandas and retractable pergolas are treated as temporary structures and do not need planning permission. (more…) -
Do we install outside of the UK?
We do not install outside of the UK, We can look at supply only for these projects, but they would need to be delivered to a UK port and be collected from there, alternatively they can be collected from our head office.
