The Markilux 1600 Skylife 2 has a transformable frame which allows it to have a normal horizontal appearance or a gable – this allows for total sun protection and the ability to easily distribute rainfall should it start to rain instead of it gathering in the centre section.

Rainwater will disperse quickly from the Markilux Skylife awning when the gable feature is engaged. Once the rain has passed the material still needs to dry out before retracting to prevent mould developing.

The Markilux 1600 Skylife 2 is available in widths of up to 6.6 m or with a maximum drop of 3.5 m.

This semi-cassette awning caters for both sun and rain with its adaptable gable frame system. It provides fantastic sun shading protection for those scorching summer days and offers waterproof cover with a gabled roof to distribute the flow of water to avoid puddles/water-buildup for those rainy days.

The front profile is sturdy yet elegant and constructed from aluminium. This gives the awnings a dynamic, smoothly finished appearance of a full cassette awning.

Manual drive is supplied with a stainless steel winding handle and electric motor and radio-controls are available as optional extras. The full range of Markilux material covers are able to be used with the Skylife.

Technical Features

The adjustable arm part of the Markilux 1600 Skylife 2 is equipped with a clever joint mechanism that allows the awning to be transformed into a gable by using a simple hand crank: an ideal solution for adjustable sun protection – and perfect for rain drainage, even with a 0% awning pitch. As the Skylife 2 provides greater headroom at its central point, it is a practical alternative for those sites with lower mounting points or larger projections.

Dimensions

The Markilux 1600 Skylife 2 is available in widths of up to 6.6 m or with a maximum drop of 3.5 m. Exceptionally wide systems are fitted with a rolltex bearing to prevent the cover from drooping.

Operation

The Markilux 1600 Skylife 2 is available with manual operation with a stainless steel winding handle however an electric motor and remote control handset are also available as extras.
