AWNINGS WITH PROJECTION GREATER THAN WIDTH

Sometimes an awning will require a projection out from the wall which is greater than the width for effective shading or when fitting in a tight space. We offer retractable awnings that achieve this by the supporting arms crossing over each other when closed. Several options are available in manual or electric operation. This is a limited range of only a couple of awning models, but they are being used more frequently and the installation against the structure requires a larger space than most other awnings.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the projection is a lot more than the width available, then you can also look at the retractable pergola systems we offer using side channels and no arms involved at all. The fabric rolls out of a cassette alongside channels and therefore are not subject to the same physical restrictions as an awning. They also offer a higher level of wind and rain resistance capability.

Extra projection

Often with a West facing garden or patio, you will need that maximum and extra projection to deal with the lower lying summer and Autumn sun and the greatest projection possible allows this to work even when you maybe don’t require the same width across the building.

Maximum width for a Stretch awning is 4000mm

Maximum projection for a Stretch awning is 4000mm with a minimum of 2500mm width

Manual or electric operation

Manual or electric operation and all the usual options like remote control or IO control and smart technology. Wind sensors to protect from high winds and optional bionic tendon arms for maximum strength and stability.

Options like lighting and drop down valances are NOT available on extended stretch awnings simply because of the mechanics and weights involved with the awning itself.
