Pergola Style – Retractable Fabric Roof

For larger outdoor spaces and providing cover for sun shade and rain – the Style is defined by its clean lines and elegance with an enclosed cassette housing for the canopy fabric cover.
Purist design and incorporating LED lighting in various optional parts of the unit – the cassette at the back, the guide tracks at the sides, the support posts at the front and even in the footplate covers if required. Conveniently controlled by a smartphone app, you control the lighting mood to suit the occasion. Control of the roof cover is also simple to give you partial or total cover whilst still enjoying the natural light through the fabric of the cover.
Unlike solid roof pergolas this pergola will not feel like you have blacked out the sunlight in the daytime when protecting from rainfall.

The Markilux Style Pergola is a further development on the other Markilux models which were launched some 15 years ago now. The retractable fabric pergola defines the next level of sun protection but also provides rain protection too with a higher wind rating as the fabric is attached to the structure on all 4 sides, giving maximum tension on the fabric when extended and in use.

A normal folding arm awning will only go so far in windy conditions and only some models are suitable for use in rain and then only at a minimum pitch of 14 degrees or more which isn’t always achievable on a house wall. The pergola system can be set at lower angles and with the taut fabric any rainfall will land and drain off the front safely.

Telescopic post

For improved water drainage, the support posts can be lowered by 20 to 40 cm—optionally motorized for added convenience. Please note: this feature is not compatible with integrated lighting in the posts or footplate covers of the pergola style.

Ballast boxes

Ensure reliable stability for your markilux pergola—even when anchoring the front posts into the foundation isn’t possible or preferred.

LED Lighting

The LED lighting options are a major feature for the Pergola Style with more than enough lighting provided behind, above and in front of you as well as on the floor too. Configure the lights as you wish and control via an app on your smartphone. The colours can change too to suit various moods and occasions.

The LED lighting isn’t an afterthought here, it is manufactured and built into the profile elements of the pergola when chosen and configured to suit. As you can cover larger areas outside with the Style it is very possible a lot more time will be spent in your new covered outdoor area and this includes going into the evening. The whole structure appears as if one piece with virtually no screws showing and the lighting is also discreet when not in use.
