What roof and glass options are available?
Veranda roofs are typically toughened safety glass or, as a lower cost alternative, polycarbonate.
Toughened glass gives the clearest view and premium finish; laminated glass adds extra safety and noise reduction. Self cleaning and solar control (tinted/coated) glass options can reduce maintenance and glare.
Most people opt for clear glass but a few have tinted glass when it is a pure South facing aspect and fitted for more sun control primarily.
The best option is always a glass roof with a retractable fabric blind fitted to provide total control over sun glare, heat and light but maximum natural light when required.
