What is the maximum width and projection available for a retractable awning?
Our folding arm awnings are made to measure and available in a very wide range of sizes, including large spans. Where a single awning can’t cover the full area, multiple coupled units can be installed side by side for a continuous run.
Maximum width is 14 metres wide and there are models offering up to 4.3m projection in the UK.
The maximum size depends on the model and the projection (how far it extends), as larger projections place more load on the arms and wall. We’ll recommend the right size and configuration for your space during the survey.
Generally you can have models up to 7m width in one section and mechanism and anything over 7m width is always a ‘coupled’ system – effectively 2 awning mechanisms joined in the centre.
