What foundations does a glass veranda need?

Any veranda needs a solid foundation to anchor the main front support posts and prevent movement in high winds, but they do not need traditional building foundations like any house extension does constructed under building regulations For a wall mounted (lean-to) veranda, much of the weight is taken by the house wall, with the front posts anchored to a solid base. Where a suitable base doesn’t exist, concrete footings may be required for the posts. We confirm the groundwork needed at the point of survey.
