What are the electrical and power requirements for a retractable pergola?

An electric retractable pergola generally runs from a standard mains supply; a 13A supply is usually more than adequate for the electric motor and LED lighting. If you are looking at infra red heating then depending on the required heat output and number of units used you may require a 16 amp supply and a dedicated suitably protected fused supply. As with awnings, the final connection into your mains should be made by a qualified electrician who will provide the appropriate certification. We can advise on where the supply needs to be; the electrical connection is typically arranged separately by a qualified local electrician.
