Bespoke Awning Solution for Picturehouse, London
Picturehouse Cinemas, one of London’s premier cinema networks, is known for offering a unique and immersive experience both indoors and outdoors. Before the heatwaves hit this year, the management team contacted Samson Outdoor Living to upgrade an old awnings in their Central London venue. With our years of experience, we took over the job and delivered a sleek awning shading solution.
The Challenge
The branch had two old, damaged awnings and was looking for a reliable partner to handle the full process from surveying, installation and disposal of the previous awnings. They also needed a trusted company to deliver everything on a tight timeline to make sure the project finishes in time for the summer heatwave.
After an initial call, we conducted a comprehensive site survey to ensure accurate measurements and a seamless installation plan. Our professionalism and expertise had persuaded the management team that we were perfect for the project, and the order was placed.
The Result
The process took just 6 weeks, and just installed before the middle of summer, the Samson team delivered and installed two brand new, manual bespoke awnings:
- 5200mm Width x 3000mm Projection
- 5350mm Width x 3000mm Projection
The premium black fabric and framework was chosen for optimal shade and visual impact . In order to match with Picturehouse’s branding, we also customised the printed text on the awnings and valances.
- Fabric: Premium Black for the best possible hue and aesthetic effect
- Framework: Deep Black RAL 9005 powder coating for a contemporary, reliable finish
On the day of installation, we completed the process with full disposal of the existing awnings, leaving no trace behind. The cinema’s kerb appeal and functionality were improved significantly while strengthened the Picturehouse’s premium brand identity.
