Weinor Opal Design

The Weinor Opal Design benefits from a beautifully designed cassette profile which is just 16cm in height – perfect to fit under balconies or protruding roofs.

The oval cassette is attractively slim and streamlined, however it offers the awnings entire mechanism and the fabric full protection. Quoted by Weinor to be ’safely housed like a pearl in a shell’, your awning is kept looking as beautiful as it did the day it was installed.

The Weinor Opal Design is available with awning lights, awning heaters and all-weather sensors to make your awning experience all the more pleasurable. These systems are summarised below, but can also be viewed on the Weinor Heating & Lighting Systems page.

It maintains real Weinor quality whilst combining its organic aesthetics with its numerous intelligent functions.

The Opal Design can really make an impression with contrasting design plates, pictured right. Faceplates, which are crescent shaped caps, can be added to the end of the cassette or on the housing of lights on the Weinor Opal Design Lux to create a colourful effect.

This patio awning is also available with a list of extra’s including lighting, heating and multiple sensors. Lighting is supplied in the form of the Lux bar in the Opal Design Lux model and offers a perfect level of lighting. Heating is delivered using the Tempura system which offers effective heating. Sun, Wind and Rain sensors are available on request too – these sensors detect when the rain shines too bright, when the wind is too strong or when it rains and operates the awning accordingly; perfect when you’re too busy to take notice!

The Weinor Opal Design is able to couple units together to create a larger awning. This means two awning elements are joined together whilst sharing a motor. The join in the middle is covered up using a thin under-mounted cloth which masks the join and opens and retracts at the same time.

Sizes
The maximum width for a single unit Opal Design is 6.5m with a maximum projection of 4m. The dimensions of the cassette casing is 26.5m x 16cm without brackets.

When coupling units together, the maximum width 12m and maximum projection is 3.5m.

Operation
The Weinor Opal Design is available with motor drive electric operation as standard, however can also be available with manual crank operation on request. When powered by a motor drive, it is operated using the WeiTronic Combio-868 MA system (with suitable WeiTronic hand-held remote control units)

Colours
The Weinor Opal Design is available with a large selection of colours. They are available with 47 standard RAL colours at no extra cost, any other RAL colour (for a 10% surcharge), 8 trendy conservatory colours (for a 5% surcharge) or other structure colours (for a 15% surcharge).

Mounting
This awning can be wall mounted, ceiling mounted or mounted on rafters.
