Semi-Cassette Awnings

Not to be confused with open cassette awnings, semi-cassette awnings still offers varying degrees of protection to the fabric, although the arms do not retract into this type of cassette.

Not having to work within the constraints of the closed cassette size, semi-cassette awnings can offer more in terms of extended arm sizes, gas strut supports, lighting and other add-on’s that would not be possible on full cassette awnings.

These awnings can have any of 2 types of operation gear. An awning can either be chain-driven or powered by a gas piston.

Weinor Semina

The Weinor Semina is a semi-cassette awning.

This patio awning is targetted at people who place less importance on the need for a vertical valance to protect against low sun.

Instead of having a valance on the front, the Weinor Semina has a larger front profile which houses a guttering system to allow rainwater to drain off the side of the awning.

The fabric and operating mechanism are well-protected, almost fully covered, due to Weinior’s enforced closure, with tilting arm joint and stop cam.

Markilux 1600

The Markilux 1600 semi-cassette awning is identical to the Markilux 1500, but has a few subtle differences.

With 400 cm of maximum projection it is really stunning that Markilux 1600 can offer a width up to 710 cm.

The strong double steel-link chain and powerful arms are base for that – and for a perfectly taut cover.

The elegant aluminium front profile that closes into the awning´s coverboard – fitted with a brush for removing dirt and debris as the awning is being retracted. To avoid any gap between coverboard and front, it automatically adapts to the awning´s pitch. And of course: there are numberless possibilities to combine frame colours and fabrics.

Markilux 1650

The markilux 1650 is nearly identical to the markilux 1600: the integrated LED spots in the front profile make the striking difference.

They are rotatable up to 90 degrees, dimmable, or may illuminate the house´s façade.

Apart from that, the markilux 1650 offers generous 400 cm of projection and a width of up to 710 cm.

The design of the awning´s coverboard – fitted with a brush for removing dirt and debris as the awning is being retracted. Standard and lounge colours, fabrics and intelligent accessories make it even more beautiful to be outside – day and night.
