Do you need planning permission for outdoor weather protection systems?

Most products we sell do not need planning permission, however we would look at this on each individual case. We can assist if necessary with drawings, specification and 3D visuals to help others understand the final concept and visuals

Generally planning permission would be required for any larger outdoor structure if the property was listed or in a conservation area, or if the proposed system was of a size which meant it could be seen by others around your property. There are some basic common sense rules on planning, but it isn’t always straight forward and also different local authorities can have different opinions when it is a borderline case.
