Are Aluminium Louvre Pergolas worth the money?

Any of the latest electric operated aluminium pergola systems are obviously more expensive than a basic manual system or timber traditional pergolas, but they are worth it in the longer run because of their durability, performance and low maintenance.

Many of the made to measure aluminium pergola systems using rotating roof blades and optional side infills will create mid to large sized outdoor areas or even enclosed outdoor rooms and they are a product built to last. Cheap, off the shelf, manual louvre pergolas will be flimsy compared to the larger profile sections of an electric operated bespoke system with integrated rainwater guttering and tested wind loading performance.

Many of the higher end luxury bioclimatic pergolas have been developed primarily for commercial use, so have high specifications and great additional options, such as LED lighting, electric vertical blinds or glass sliding doors.

Some of the best systems offer not only rotating blades of for the roof but they blades can also slide back and retract to open up to the sky when required giving great control over sunlight, rain and wind control..

Are they worth it?  You only get what you pay for, and if you are serious about your outdoor space and creating an area which lasts many years then yes they are worth it.
