The Erhardt BS can be used as an open folding-arm awning in a protected area, in the open thanks to its additional rain cover, and/or as a completely enclosed system that provides full protection for the fabric and the mechanism

The Erhardt BS-System awning is a fantastic awning from Erhardt Markisen with three basic models and setups to make choosing the right awning extra easy for you. The different versions are named the BS, the BS-D and the BS-H.

The Erhardt BS is an open cassette folding arm awning, and for this reason is it best to be used in sheltered locations. The fabric itself is not concealed within a cassette, and is exposed to the elements at all times. For this reason, it is best to be places somewhere that will negate this issue.

The BS can be electrically operated via a motor and remote control, and wind and sun sensors can be added in order to make this system fully automatic. A lighting rail and infrared heaters can also be added.

The Erhardt BS is ideal for terraces and balconies, and it’s simple frame structure can be adapted to fit in with almost any aesthetic or architectural style. It also contains a drop down valance that shields those underneath against the elements. The BS is also available as a deluxe version, which contains a double awning and an elegant guard rail instead of the drop down valance.

The Erhardt BS-D is similar to the BS, however it has a rain cover that offers some basic protection to the fabric shaft, as well as a high-quality tilting arm bearing to ensure precision closing. It transforms the BS into a more protected awning, and is something to consider for those who need the awning to provide some of it’s own shelter, as it protects the rolled up fabric from above.

The folding arms, made from extruded aluminium, ensure optimum fabric tension and are equipped with a maintenance-free stainless steel flyer chain as standard.

Vario-Valance for more protection

An optional Vario-Valance, which is operated independently of the main awning and can be extended by up to 160 cm, provides protection from low sun and prying eyes.
