RETRACTABLE ELECTRIC PERGOLAS

Made to measure, aluminium, wall mounted, electric retractable pergola systems, offering the best rain protection, whilst also having far higher wind resistance ratings over any standard knuckle arm awning. Fabric is deployed from a fully enclosed cassette and is under high tension to provide the very best taught fabric canopy. Some systems use a zipped channel either side for 4 sided tension on the canopy. Most of these systems will extend up to 6000mm in projection whilst able to cover any width by joining together.

All our retractable pergola systems are electric operated as standard and therefore very simple to operate at any time, adjusting during the day and night. Remote control handset operation and smartphone controlled apps provide the simplest of operation for anyone to use.

The systems are designed to fit directly to a wall as standard, but they can also be fitted with a free standing aluminium goalpost framework if required. Ideal when the wall perhaps isn’t high enough or isn’t structurally sound enough, or simply if the system needs to be away from the building.

ELECTRIC FABRIC & LOUVRE PERGOLA STRUCTURES

When your outdoor space is either very large or you require enhanced weather protection to the sides and front, then consider one of our enhanced pergola structures. Freestanding or wall mounted aluminium framework systems, using either enhanced fabrics, with triple layers, or bladed aluminium electric operated rotating slats. Systems suitable for commercial or domestic use at any size or specification.

Any of these pergola systems can be either wall mounted or stand alone. The Markilux Markant, for example, can be manufactured to a massive 6m x 6m with only 4 support posts required. This gives a unique, uninterrupted view all round from sitting underneath and with further options available for the sides, such as electric vertical blinds or sliding glass and fabric doors, you can create a truly spectacular outdoor weather protected space. The fabric roof for the Markant can be fully retracted at the push of a button with 2 roof fields on the larger sizes to give even more control of the sun shading and rain protection.

All of these enhanced pergola systems are for use in commercial or domestic environments and can have the following options:

COMMERCIAL AND DOMESTIC APPLICATIONS

The various retractable roof systems have been developed from other successful products used for outdoor weather protection and have been developed and tested in harsh climates for many years. These are not products simply rushed together to fill a demand. They are all equally suitable for a commercial or domestic environment, with proper rain and wind testing and sun shading to your chosen level, depending on the fabric choice. These are not budget driven, DIY products suitable only for light use in domestic applications.

Weinor Pergotex 

The original German manufactured retractable fabric (triple layered) roof system with sufficient structure strength to enable further enhancement with front and side infill products. The “cabriolet roof’ system with very large sizes possible. Fabric roof is further strengthened using aluminium profile bars and rain channels in the side and front profiles directing rainfall to the front and down the support posts at low level.

Markilux Markant

An industry leading retractable fabric pergola system with a totally flat roof design and unique rainwater dispersal. This self supporting aluminium pergola is extensively used for so many applications and you can truly create an outdoor room with the right sides and internal specification. CREATE AN OUTDOOR OASIS

Any of these enhanced aluminium structures have the ability to be almost totally enclosed for all year round weather protection. Don’t ever get fooled that this means warm and dry as you are still outside and in a non insulated covered space. These ‘outdoor rooms’ are perfect for probably around 9 months of the average year all depending on which aspect they are situated.

FURTHER OUTDOOR ROOM OPTIONS

Another great system for creating all year round covered space is called a louvered roof system, or sometimes referred to as a bioclimatic pergola. These are systems using rotating aluminium blades fixed across an aluminium structure. This system has many various brand names in the UK and we recommend the Biossun and Weinor range because of their pedigree and experience in these types of structures.

The principal is simple with overlapping aluminium flat, or slightly curved sections rotating next to each other to provide either a solid roof when closed or varying degrees of sun and open weather when the blades are tilted at any angle through to 130 degrees.

Rainwater, like in other outdoor room systems is captured in channels running around the roof structure and directed down the support legs and again, these systems are self-supporting or able to be fixed directly to a property to act as an extension of a room.

The roof system can have different LED lights integrated in various places and the frame support structure also takes all the various options of side infills to create the outdoor room again.

All the rotating roof sections, and any options (integrated blinds, led lighting, infra-red heating, etc.) are easily operated from a choice of radio controlled wireless handsets with an informative LCD screen so you can easily select which part of the pergola canopy system you wish to control at any time. Powerful and yet almost silent, integrated electric motors adjust the roof sections and optional integrated blinds whilst built in radio control receivers allow you to turn the LED lighting and optional infra-red heating on and off and also dim if required.

A louvered roof system will enhance any premises with any of the choice of factory finishes available and its tough aluminium and stainless steel construction ensures it will withstand the diverse British weather. Tested to the severest of quality standards, the louvered roofs can withstand wind speeds up to Beaufort 10.
