Vertical cassette blinds are used primarily to provide shade over windows and various fully cassetted options are available with different sizes and shapes of cassettes. Manual or electrically operated they can provide very effective control of sunlight into an office or retail premises.

Vertical blinds are both stylish and practical. Certain materials are available allowing vision through the material but still preventing the glare of the sunlight. The Markilux® transolair is particularly well suited to vertical blind application because it provides a very comfortable level of shade, whilst leaving an unspoilt view.

Samson also offer the very clever designed Markisolette which essentially is a drop arm awning and vertical cassette blind combined. The Markisolette has a sliding adjuster bar to determine where the material stops being vertical in the tracks and begins to project outwards as a drop arm awning.
